The Whitewashed Feminists enjoy good conversation. We welcome questions. We welcome posters to agree, disagree, or challenge us. In fact we thrive on intellectual discourse. We don’t want to use this blog as a place to censor people, but we also want to have a few ground rules.
- Please no anonymous comments. You can use a pseudonym if you feel it necessary, but please use the same one every time so that we can get to know you. Comments require a valid e-mail address.
- If you don’t feel that you can present your views in a way that refrains from attacking other posters or the Whitewashed Feminists, please don’t comment. If you have a dissenting opinion, tell us why! It’s the only way we can clarify what we’re saying and hopefully increase understanding, if not agreement.
- Please refrain from profanity, but don’t be afraid to be passionate about what you think and what you feel.
- We may edit comments if we find it necessary to remove a personal attack, fix an error, or add clarity. But we will make it clear that it was edited and what was edited.
- If you feel that what we write is in error because we have not utilized Matthew 18, please read this blog post on why Matthew 18 is not the proper response for public teachings, or applicable with an internet relationship.
- At this time we are moderating all comments in an effort to keep the discussion on topic. In addition, this is a blog about us, our thoughts, and where we are on matters of faith. This is not a blog to “call people out” or a place to hold people accountable. There are other blogs and forums for that kind of thing. This is a place to discuss issues important to us and hopefully gain better understanding of what we, and others, believe.
- We do welcome dissenters. We’re just basically asking that it be done respectfully, and yes that does mean by our standards. It’s our blog after all.

No cussing? Well, %@#! it!
Laura unleashed!
I’m not allowed to attack anyone? Well what fun is that?
Innocent enough to be endearing, naughty enough to be fun!!
“Wait a second, women have- BRAINS!?!?!”
Hi ladies. I have a question regarding comments: when we submit a comment, is our email address visible every time to you (the administrators)? I know you guys don’t share them and I’m not worried about that; I’m just curious. Thanks!
Yes, we can see your e-mail every time. And you’re right, we will not share those.
Whoa, no cussing.
Can we ^(*%$%&&($%^?
Or say, danganit, or flipping, or fraking? Or am I already in trouble?
Frakking will ALWAYS be accepting here… as will most other derivatives. Danganit and flipping are just fine too
And may I ask- are you a BSG fan, by the way?

I resemble that remark.
I think to be so very amusing that a blog such as this seems to always bring out the more dirty side of women. Planning on cusing at one another, flipping? Bizarre….
May I ask why?
Sorry, that would be cussing and ‘cusing…
Dear, Emily, the previous comments are something we like to call “humor”. They were made in jest. Fraking is a word from a T.V. show, flipping and dangit obviously not being real cursewords at all.
Sorry for the confusion. I don’t know how many blogs “such as this” you’ve visited, but this one does encourage a sense of humor. Hope that clears things up.
Emily wrote, “… a blog such as this seems to always bring out the more dirty side of women. Planning on cusing at one another, flipping? Bizarre…”
uh … excuse me, Emily … I have never sworn on this web site nor do I intend to …
Also, some of the words you may think are cussing simply is not (see Anne’s post)
rather than jumping to conclusions and seeing the women here in the worst possible light, it may be more prudent and wise to ask first
I am a theologically conservative female, who has leanings toward egalitarianism. But I’m also a Calvinist, a Baptist, an old-earth creationist, and a host of other politically incorrect things. But I really do love and respect my husband, too. Go figure. I appreciate what you’re trying to do here. One of my favorite authors is Carolyn Custis James. If you haven’t read any of her books, I’d highly recommend them.
